PADI Tec 40
During the Tec 40 course, you will start to transition from recreational diving into technical diving.
The theory will cover multiple aspects including:
- Technical diving risks
- Responsibilities of a technical diver
- Standard technical equipment configurations
- Dive planning including gas management & oxygen limits
- Extended team drills & emergency procedures
After completing the theory, you will execute a number of practical applications & training dives including;
- Equipment setup using with the standard configuration
- Dive planning using desktop decompression software
- SAC calculation
- Execution of standard procedures
- Execution of emergency procedures
Once successfully completing the course you will be certified to perform limited decompression dives up to 40 meters using 1 gas of up to EANx50 for added conservatism.

- At least 18 years old
- PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
- PADI Enriched Air Diver
- PADI Deep Diver
- At least 30 dives, with 10 using EANx below 18 meters
